Citroen 2CV6: A Classic Car

Citroen 2CV6: A Classic Car

The Citroen 2VC is a classy lady! While she may be considered ugly, she is wonderfully ugly. While there are many Citroen 2CV6 in the United States, most have been imported from either the United Kingdom, France, Germany, or any of a number of European countries.

A French workhorse, the 2CV6 is a joy to drive…..if you like it a bit rough and rugged. You want ventilation? Then pop open the lower part of the windshield. Car will not start? Then get out the hand crank and see what you can do. Something wrong? Throw up the hood and fix her….not much in there to go wrong.

The 2CV6 isn't made anymore – the last ones came off the line in the 1980s I believe. However, there are still plenty of them around. The early models have all had new floors as the first floors will all have rusted out by now. Many of the early models also look new because replacing body parts is as easy as unscrewing a section and dropping a new one in.

Check them out, there are clubs everywhere.
