Owning a classic car is like owning a piece of human pride and heritage. It should be shown off with pride and not hidden away for the eye to not see. In my opinion the 1969 Camaro ss is the most beautiful American made device. Its smooth and sleek and full of power. What man in his right mind wouldn't want one of those. The idea of cruising along in a classic car with a beautiful girl beside you is widely used in American pop culture. And the Camaro is one of those used most. What use is a car you cant fix as well. Classic cars make a man want to work on them. And the classic car provides that opportunity for anyone who wants to get greasy and come out with something wonderful at the end of the day. Any one can take pride in owning an American classic car.

When I was younger, my father and I were into car restoration. We'd shop around for a jalopy of a car, sometimes they weren't even running, and we'd spend months out in the garage working on it. Some of my fondest memories of summer are of my father and I in the garage, both of us looking under the hood of an old car, trying to figure out what makes her tick.
Car restoration wasn't really a passion for us, though. Honestly, it was more about the two of us spending time together. Working on cars was just an excuse for us to have something to do together. We didn't have very many interests in common, but the one thing we did both love was working on cars. On my 16th birthday, as a surprise, my father gave me a Monte Carlo we'd worked on for months. I remember him telling me it was for someone who wanted to buy it, so he wanted us to do the best we could on it. As it turns out, it was a graduation gift.

People have different ideas behind the definition of classic cars. Some people believe that the cars have been built with limited qualities. Other people say that besides these features the car when produced was a popular one. Few others believe that the car is atleast of 50 years or more old but still considered as popular and classic. In well researched guides, like 'Collector Car Price Guide', the car prices are gleaned from a combination of auction sold prices, collector surveys, along with their own market research. Their database includes cars from the year 1899 and forward. This unique classic car price guide, at a cost of under $25 is well worth it and can practically save you thousands of dollars. Copies of the guide can also be found at eBay website. Selecting classic car for sales, there are two things to be remembered-price and general conditions before you buy a car, as these two features are intertwined.

On a recent search to find American classic cars, I came across a place selling a 1932 Ford convertible pick up. With 210 horse power, dual exhaust and auto transmission, coil over front suspension, not to mention still in mint condition, it was a steal at $45,000. While the company who stored it had taken some liberties with some of the extras the car had to offer (a CD player was installed, though clearly CD players weren't factory issue in 1932) the car itself was in near perfect condition. I even had the opportunity to take it on a test drive, and I was amazed at how it handled on the road. Not only did it turn heads as we drove down the street, the engine was so quiet I barely knew it was running. While some people enjoy the smaller, sleeker cars of today, there is something to be said about American classic cars. it's a level of quality that has been lost over the years.

If you want to plan something truly magical and romantic, think about hiring a classic car for the day. There are many companies that specialize in renting classic cars, especially in California! Think about renting a car for the day and going for a drive. Pack a picnic, drive to a country restaurant, go visit the family. It does not matter what you actually do when you are driving a classic car, it will all be one of the most exciting adventures you will have had.
If you have a classic car and want to do a tour with a like minded group, why not sign up for this year's Around Nevada Classic Tour? It is set for June 7th and there is still plenty of time to sign up. http://nevada-rides.com/new/the-2010-tour/ lists all the info about the route, other events being held during the tour, and lots more.
Sounds like a great time!
